Group swim classes can be fun, but they’re not designed to teach survival skills. At Tiny Fins, every single lesson is one-on-one. Your child works directly with a trained survival swim instructor who knows their name, their temperament, and exactly where they are in the learning process.
Our approach is patient and gentle. We never force a child past their comfort zone — we guide them through it. Some kids take to the water immediately; others need a few sessions to warm up. Either way, most children bond with their instructor within the first two weeks and start to love their time in the pool.
24 Lessons That Could Save a Life
Over the course of 24–28 lessons, your child will develop a specific set of survival skills through repetition and muscle memory. They’ll learn to swim with their face in the water, roll onto their back to float and breathe, and then continue swimming to safety. This sequence — swim, float, swim — is what makes the difference in a real emergency.
